Optimal protection

Every year, our package material plants produce billions of carton sleeves, which are later aseptically filled at our customers’ premises. The package material consists of three components: cardboard, polyethylene and aluminium. The inner polyethylene layers act as a liquid barrier, while the outer layer keeps out moisture. Cardboard gives the package the necessary stability, while aluminium protects the contents from light, oxygen and external odours and flavours. Around 27 grams of packaging is enough to package one litre of product – so the packaging constitutes less than three per cent of the total product weight.
