Vocational training at our Neuhausen site SIG Combibloc offers around 40 apprenticeship positions in six different vocations at its site in Neuhausen, Switzerland. Training at SIG Combibloc is delivered by Wibilea, a training centre in the Schaffhausen area, which also handles the apprentice recruitment process. SIG Combibloc has concluded a contract with Wibilea to deliver the apprenticeship training. In each vocational sector, SIG Combibloc employs an apprenticeships officer, who is responsible within the company for arranging the training content and looking after the apprentices. During your training, you’ll gain an insight into many areas of the company, and you’ll be working alongside qualified professionals from day one. Training at SIG Combibloc is delivered in accordance with the formal curricula of the relevant trade guilds. All apprenticeships end with the award of a Swiss Federal Certificate of Proficiency (eidgenössischer Fähigkeitsausweis). In-house tuition In addition to classes at a vocational training school, our apprentices are supported with in-house lessons – this is the most effective way to develop technical, methodological and interpersonal skills. Our in-house apprenticeship supervisor enhances the quality of the training by co-ordinating the practical training with the theoretical learning modules. An important focus of the additional classes is intensive exam preparation. Getting started together – the outdoor induction course To kick off their training with SIG Combibloc, all apprentices spend several days on an external induction and familiarisation course in the mountains, where the focus is on getting to know one another and taking part in team-building outdoor activities. These activities develop teamwork among the young people while they are having fun. This approach develops mutual trust between the apprentices and their instructors. We support you To ensure your apprenticeship with us runs smoothly right to the end, we offer you:
Working hours The working hours for apprentices at the Neuhausen site are 40 hours per week. |
